Today marked the second week of Corn conditions and the first glimpse at Soybean and Spring Wheat ratings.

CORN: Nationwide the corn crop is rated at 75% Good/Excellent, down 1% from last week. SD ratings improved 3 percentage points this week at 85% G/E. ND ratings were down 2% to 89% G/E.


SOYBEANS: Today marks the first soybean condition report of the crop year and shows 74% of the crop rated Good/Excellent. SD is off to a good start and is rated at 88% G/E and ND at 87%.  Planting progress is listed at 87% complete, ahead of last year’s pace of 69% and the 5 year average of 81%.


WHEAT: Harvest progress is just getting underway down south on the Hard Red Winter Wheat crop and is showing 9% harvested. Spring wheat is 95% planted and 80% emerged. Spring wheat conditions show 71% of the crop rated G/E, compared to 62% last year.
