Corn: As of 7:45- 3 lower

Corn was in somewhat of a holiday mode yesterday settling 1 ¼ higher being held up by a solid soybean market. Dec options expiration Friday but would likely be awfully thin so one might consider handling today. Expiration for unpriced WG’s hta’s and basis fixed contracts vs. the Dec will expire Wednesday. Overnight things look to be a bit weaker as we roll into the holiday.

Soybeans: As of 7:45- 6 lower

Soybeans seem to be the sexy commodity again yesterday as funds were noted buyers. Planting pace reported at 75% complete in Brazil and generally favorable conditions. There is starting to be some concern with potential dryness in S Brazil and Argentina.

Wheat: As of 7:45- 2 lower

Modest gains across the wheat complex yesterday in a light choppy holiday like trade. Some moisture seen as beneficial to the SRW crop but missing much of the western edge. Aggressive Russian wheat exports. Some concern about the amount of growth leading to winter kill, and so the talk of how many times we can kill the wheat crop begins….
