Wheat Growers Names Tracy Linbo as Senior Vice President of Agronomy
Wheat Growers has hired Tracy Linbo as Senior Vice President of Agronomy. Linbo joins Wheat Growers after having served 10 years at DuPont Pioneer where she most recently has held the position of Director, Global Strategy Planning.
“The addition of Tracy to our leadership team is strategically significant to our organization,” said Chris Pearson, Wheat Growers Chief Operating Officer. “Tracy is extremely qualified for this role. She is a recognized leader in agriculture, having led global planning and strategic development for multiple business units of DuPont Pioneer and BASF. She will bring vision and clarity to exponentially growing our organization to better provide valued products and services to our farmer members.”
In all, Linbo has nearly 25 years of experience in the Agricultural Industry. Prior to DuPont Pioneer, she spent more than 14 years at BASF Corporation, serving in multiple leadership roles in various domestic and global initiatives of the BASF crop protection business.
“Tracy’s skill-set is extensive and well balanced, ranging from sales, marketing, strategy, business planning, regulatory, production and supply chain across the international agriculture business,” said John Husk, Wheat Growers Senior Vice President of Operations, who will transition to the role of Chief Operating Officer in August. “Her enthusiasm, passion and commitment to excellence in agriculture have served her well.”
“We are very excited to add someone of Tracy’s caliber to the Wheat Growers organization,” said Pearson. “She brings a depth and breadth of experience in our industry, having worked with basic manufacturers in key leadership roles. She understands the current market dynamics, agronomy challenges and producer demands. Tracy will play a key role as we continue to identify new, meaningful ways to contribute to our members’ success.”
Linbo has been an active member of the Des Moines community. She has served on the Meals from the Heartland board, and has been active with United Way, the Chrysalis Foundation STEM initiatives, and the Boys and Girls Club of Des Moines.
