Wheat Growers’ Chamberlain Location Wins Top Environmental Award

(Aberdeen, SD) --- Wheat Growers’ Chamberlain location has been honored with a Regional DuPont Environmental Respect Award. The award is the agriculture industry’s highest recognition for environmental stewardship among U.S. agricultural retailers.

“We’re very proud of the hard work that Jim Banken and the entire Wheat Growers Chamberlain team put forth day in and day out for their location and their customers,” Steve Briggs, Wheat Growers Senior Vice President, Agronomy and Corporate Marketing, said. “That effort and dedication made it possible for them to win this prestigious award.”

In announcing the Environmental Respect Award the committee noted that the winners…“won the award based on evidence of excellence in site design, in-plant storage and handling procedures, emergency preparedness and response, proper application and leadership in safety and stewardship among customers and employees.”

“That criteria reflects many of the core values that our Chamberlain team practices every day,” Briggs added. “And it’s the same for all our locations, as we continue to deliver value for our customers.”

As a regional winner, Chamberlain is a finalist for the national award. Wheat Growers will travel to Washington, D.C. in July to be honored alongside their peers at a special ceremony on Capitol Hill.
