Wheat Growers Announces Leadership and Management Promotions
(Aberdeen, SD) --- Wheat Growers, the largest locally owned farmer’s cooperative in the U.S., announces several changes to its leadership structure. With the retirement of two members of its Leadership Team, Wheat Growers promotes Stephen Briggs to Senior Vice President of Agronomy and Corporate Marketing and Roger Krueger to Senior Vice President of Grain.
Briggs and Krueger were already members of the Wheat Growers Leadership Team. In addition to his responsibilities for Corporate Marketing, Briggs will assume responsibility for all Agronomy functions, while Krueger will assume responsibility for Business Development and Transportation, in addition to all Grain Marketing functions.
“Steve and Roger are extremely well-equipped to be taking on more responsibility within our organization,” Dale Locken, Wheat Growers Chief Executive Officer, said. “Both men have extensive experience and backgrounds in these areas, so our Agronomy and Grain business will be in good hands.”
Wheat Growers also announces several other promotions: Jeff Tiede, Bob Fluke, David Siefkes and Phil Gilbert are promoted to Regional Managers. They will be responsible for all grain and agronomy operations in the four Wheat Growers trade areas.
“These promotions are part of Wheat Growers’ transition process,” Locken said. “As our Cooperative continues to grow, we have planned for these changes, and these individuals will help us continue to serve our members and bring innovative solutions to our markets.”
